azalea festival

This past weekend we headed out to the Azalea Festival in Muskogee, OK, which runs every weekend in April. Unfortunately because this winter was colder than normal the azaleas have not yet bloomed. The tulips and dogwoods were beautiful. We may try again next month when we head out there for Renaissance Faire and see if they survived. The weather was nice and then it turned cold for the rest of the week. I did manage to make it out to Tulsa for The Brookside Herb Festival, that morning, it's small but they have really great stuff, beautiful succulents. Many of those vendors will be in Jenks for their Herb Fest this coming weekend.
So Sunday, I had to bring the hanging baskets in because we had a freeze warning. The geraniums are looking kind of sad because they were out in the cold for a while, but we did nab some succulents! I got my burros tail [have been wanting one forever!], reminds me of my grandmother's house! I didn't take pictures of them, waiting to get some pretty pots.
