Mystery KAL

I'm knitting a shawl as part of a Mystery KAL (knit along). I recently started knitting and I'm enjoying it now that I can do more than knit and purl...actually now that I can keep the yarn on the needles and keeping some kind of tension on the yarn. I had my doubts about knitting as a means of relaxing. The kids can contest to my yelling "Not now I'm counting!" I still rip it out a couple of times in the beginning before I get going but it has worked out ok and I'm ripping less and less each time...haha!

So anyways, it will be a shawl and I have no idea what it looks like, that's the mystery. They are releasing "clues" parts of the pattern over four weeks. So far it has been really fun. My local yarn shop has a group working on the mystery shawl pattern in case people need help, they are really nice.
So here is clue 1, finished. I may not show anymore pictures until I finish it.

Here is a sneak peak at a quilt I just finished for my niece and I don't want to spoil the surprise until after she receives it.
