welcome spring

It's still slightly cool in our region but it's starting to warm up. We are soooo looking forward to spring, I love it better than summer. So my garden is bare, I have no harbingers of spring popping up so I could share a flash of color. So instead I'm sharing a work trip from earlier this week. We visited the Herman Miller show room [our vendor]. I just love going out there because I really love their products. So here is a splash of color to welcome spring. Love the Eames Hang-It-All coat rack so psychedelic! Yup, that is me spinning in the 'Spun Chair'. I felt like a kid! We ate at the Japanese restaurant above the showroom Zanmai, hibachi, it was really good, unfortunately I was to busy watching and eating I didn't snap pictures.
Happy vernal equinox,

laffa

I took my co-worker to a new Mediterranean restaurant in downtown, Laffa, he is one of the few people willing to try new food and I will miss him more when he retires next month. Our downtown has slowly been getting an update with some new hotels, restaurants, and apartments being constructed it's actually fun to be down and about here. Laffa is located in the Brady district, north downtown. We both had the 'Shawarma,' [only picked it because it was in the Avengers movie at the end if you recall]. It was pretty good, didn't try the bread, which Laffa means bread, maybe next time. We both enjoyed the atmosphere and food!

happy st patrick's day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This weekend stayed very gray. We did get some rain Sunday making us stay inside, but the kids wanted to camp. I set them up with my old tent and left them with some snacks and hot chocolate It was pretty cold, with the rain came some very tiny hail making it look like it was snowing! They lasted a couple of hours before they came in, but it made their weekend! Looking forward to some Spring colors popping in the backyard. Not much green for this St. Patrick's day just weeds...hehe!
Have a great week!
