Knitting:
Finished the Wurm! YEA! one of the gifts out of the way. [Rem posed for the pictures he thought it was funny to keep moving around...] I've still got the Brier to work on.
Reading:
I haven't been reading a lot this week, it has been a busy week. I was working on quilts for teacher gifts and finished up my knitted gifts, but the boys and I have been reading our daily bible study, it's something new we started for the summer. [I took picture of labels before my daughter signed them and it looks like they are from me...haha!]
I did finish Yarn Knitters: Writers on Knitting. Yarn knitters is an anthology of writers who knit. Some of the stories are tear jerkers and some had me laughing out loud. There are a few knitting patterns for mittens, head wrap, coffee cozie, socks, dog sweater, and a wrap. It was an inspiration book and a quick read. A really funny poem and all the stories are short. I don't want to give out any spoilers so I'm not saying too much more.
I've cast on a couple of projects I plan to gift in the next couple of weeks...yikes! Too much pressure?!?! I can do this...haha! A Brier Beanie and Wurm hat, can't divulge too much right now.
I paused on my Perkins Cove, if you look at the top of the picture all those elongated stitches...wrong...So I ripped them out and stopped because if I keep going I tend to make more mistakes so I will go back to it in a couple of days.
Reading:
Missing Lily, this book caught my interest while I was reading a fellow yarn along's blog. So far it's been fun to read, the author's bio describes it as a clean romance.
